Deb specializes in assisting adults in recapturing a strong sense of Self through desensitizing distress held in the body, releasing deeply held burdens, and integrating unconscious forces impacting daily life and relationships. She has clinical experience in counseling individuals with depression, anxiety, interpersonal trauma, women’s issues, sexual abuse, religious trauma and crisis of faith, medical trauma, unresolved complicated grief, parenting issues, self-esteem, and body image issues.
Deb has a reflective, perceptive, and empathic manner and establishes deep rapport with clients quickly. Deb utilizes a person-centered approach with the belief that the individual already holds the seeds of their healing within themselves, and given attuned attachment and unconditional positive regard they will find an empowered path to healing. Every step you take here is a step towards self-discovery and empowerment.
Education
Deb has a bachelors degree in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, which gives her a grounded understanding of the impact of culture on human views and behaviors.
Deb attended graduate school at Arizona State University, where she was trained in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
Since graduation Deb has participated in numerous trauma healing trainings, including CCTP, CCTP-S, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, Sand Tray Play Therapy, and has received over 100 hours of supervision and live training in the Internal Family Systems model.
